First World Problem

Dear Blog,

First World Problem: No laptop for an entire night!

Last night I killed my laptop. I was coloring with Jr when I turned and knocked a large cup of water onto my open laptop. (This is my thanks for trying to be healthy and drinking a ton of water everyday)  It went off instantly. I tried to clean the water off but it was pouring out of my laptop. The water went in through the cd  drive. I will admit, to me this is a disaster and I cried (like a baby). :/ I ended up taking it in to Apple where their genius guys looked it over. Their guy said that there was a ton of water inside of it. It was fried. They did manage to salvage my hard drive data. I ended up buying a new laptop and having the data transferred over to it. I was without a laptop until this afternoon. I know, it was a first world problem! I have my new laptop now and while it is awesome, this was not an expense we were expecting and it had me really upset last night. The hubby has been working so hard to pay off our one existing credit card. We are getting so close to achieving that and then this happens. It broke my heart to have to tell him about the laptop. It is a set back.  A setback coming at the time of year when we have already spent more then we would in a normal month. I know this is not a "disaster" to most people and I know how fortunate we are to be able to just buy a new one without waiting or saving money. However, it is still a setback to us. We are not going to spend Christmas together as it is because the plane tickets for the hubby to fly home were just too much. Now the cost of this new laptop is more than the tickets would have been. That really bothers me. I would much rather have him home for a few days over Christmas then have a new laptop. However, I will say that the way he handled the whole laptop thing really surprised me and made my heart swell. He was so calm and reassuring about it. He told me that I needed a laptop for my business and it just had to be purchased. He said that it does set us back but that we would figure it out. His calmness  and support really made me feel better about the whole thing. I felt so much love for him. I am so blessed to be married to this man.  I have my new laptop now. I guess I need to get some great sales going on over on my business page so I can make money to pay it back. I will pay it back, not the hubby.  I don't want him to stress over that money. I just need to make some sales now! haha

Enough about my laptop, now for picture sharing. :P

Em at the Apple store today. You would think she doesn't already have her own Ipad at home...

My helpers putting candy canes on the tree. Notice they are all at the bottom so little ones can grab them. :P

Chris will probably kill me for this one! This is Chris and his girlfriend, Rebekka, at their prom. How handsome is he?
